FAQs

A remote paralegal provides the same high-quality support as an in-office paralegal, just remotely. We handle tasks such as client intake, document drafting, e-filing, case file review, and case file organization from a secure setting. This allows your firm to stay efficient and responsive without the overhead of a full-time hire.
-
No, we do not provide services to the public. We work exclusively with licensed attorneys in the United States who are in good standing with the state(s) in which they are licensed. Our main focus area is estate administration in the state of New York.

At Legacy, we put our clients first in everything we do. We believe that continuity and detail-driven, high-quality work builds trust and delivers lasting value. That’s why you’ll always work with the same experienced paralegal who becomes familiar with your cases, your style, and your clients. We prioritize clear communication, timeliness, and the kind of careful handling that estate matters require.
-
Yes, Legacy provides client communication support under your direction and supervision, and we always inform the client at the outset that we are paralegals. We’re here to strengthen the experience your clients have with your firm.
-
We discuss your collaboration preferences up front and in detail and work through email, cloud-based file sharing, and scheduled check-ins via videocall and/or telephone. Whether you prefer a task-management platform or simple email threads, we adapt to your system and style. You get the benefit of reliable, experienced support but without the overhead costs of an in-office employee.
-
Turnaround time depends on the nature and urgency of the task. Routine drafting and filings are often completed within 1 to 3 days. For more complex projects, we will provide an estimated timeline up front. We strive to meet your deadlines without compromising quality, and rush services may be available upon request.
-
Yes. We offer flexible engagement options. Whether you need help on a single matter or ongoing support, we are there for you when and for as long as needed.

We keep billing simple and predictable with two options designed to fit different needs: (1) Monthly Service Plans with Hourly Caps and (2) Per-Project (Flat-Fee) Service.
Our monthly service options allow you to select a plan that fits your firm’s workload. Each plan includes a set number of hours at a flat rate, giving you predictable billing and the confidence of consistent support built into your month.
Our per-project services are available for firms with one-time matters or clearly defined projects. Per-project services are billed at a flat rate tailored to the scope and complexity of your project. This option gives you total cost certainty and the flexibility to tag us in only when you need extra help.
Under either service option, all service and billing terms will be discussed up front and then outlined clearly in your service agreement.
Payment is accepted via major credit cards, ACH transfer, or other convenient methods.
-
At Legacy, we take client confidentiality seriously. We follow best practices for confidentiality, document and systems security, and professional ethics. All work is conducted through secure, encrypted platforms.
When you work with Legacy, you’re guaranteed the continuity of working with one dedicated paralegal—not a revolving door of staff. With just one paralegal integrating with your cases and systems, you will not be updating credentials and passwords with the frequent staff changes commonly seen with larger paralegal companies.
